We had to stay at the hospital for an extra day because Drew lost a lot of weight and was really jaundice. They put him on his "tanning bed" for a day and a half, and thankfully his jaundice went down enough for us to go home with just the assignment of "sun time" for 10 minutes a day.We honestly felt so blessed by the nurses and staff at the hospital. Greg and I said it was actually a blessing to have the C section because we got a few extra days of help and service while I recovered.
But we were so excited to take the little man home. He weighed 6 lbs. 8 oz. when we took him home, and actually shrunk almost an inch since he lost his cone head. =+)
